Norman C Mallrory for Julia Kay's Portrait Party




I've joined Julia Kay's Portrait Party group on flickr, where we draw and paint portraits of other members. It is quite fascinating to see everyone's interpretation of the same image. I tried to link directly to the image above on flickr, but it was taking ages, so here's the link:




I'm a bit new at this as this is my first attempt, so hope I've got things right.

    Frank, this is amazing! It's so good! I checked out the photo's and it's such a fantastic likeness. I am really impressed. And the lines work really well too. :0)

    Sandra and Crystal - thankyou both for the lovely comments. This is getting really addictive now, and I can feel myself creating my own style of work. This painting follows a portarature study that I did in week 3 at art classes, (which I have yet to blog) and is a definate improvement.

    Thanks Alice, I've seen others use lines to good effect, so I'm trying to add them to my own style.
